Washington State Ferries Crew Saves Tangled Bird Near Mukilteo Terminal, USA

In a heartwarming display of compassion and quick thinking, the crew of the Washington State Ferries Issaquah vessel made a noble rescue on March 2nd, 2024. While near the Mukilteo terminal, they spotted a Barrow's goldeneye bird tangled in fishing line, struggling to free itself.
Without hesitation, the crew launched a rescue boat to aid the distressed bird. With skilled hands and careful precision, they were able to successfully untangle the goldeneye from the fishing line. After providing some much-needed TLC and cleaning up the bird, the crew then returned it to its usual spot on the dock, ensuring its safety and well-being.
