Man films painstaking rescue of baby octopus from boat toilet
A boater in Mexico filmed as they rescued a tiny octopus that they discovered lurking in their vessel's toilet.
Andries Bik recorded as he spotted the small mollusc in the bowl of his toilet.
"While flushing I noticed a baby octopus in the toilet that would probably die if I tried flushing it so decided to open the toilet and let the little guy get to safety," he said.
The filmer managed to unscrew the base of the toilet before using a shower head to flush the octopus out safely.
Bik then places the rescued octopus into a glass before releasing it back into the ocean.
