Chinese teacher inventively entertains pupils with unique desk dance during recess
A teacher leading her students in a spirited desk dance to the patriotic tune 'Man Jiang Hong' during breaks has sparked a sensation in China.
Impressive video filmed in Huaihua City in Hunan Province on March 22, shows the students dressed in uniform mirroring each other's energetic steps, embodying the valiant spirit of their teacher in a performance that stirs the soul.
The teacher named Zeng Yuexi, with over 20 years of educational experience, shared her innovative approach to blending physical education with dance, a practice she has been refining for the past 9 years. "Before becoming a Chinese teacher, I taught music for 11 years. My aim has always been to build class unity and to help students, especially those from rural backgrounds lacking in confidence, feel included," she explained.
Zeng's unique integration of music, physical education, and poetry into the curriculum has not only enhanced class cohesion but also fostered a joyful and empowering environment for the students.
Initially designed as an outdoor activity, the advent of COVID-19 and the subsequent cancellation of traditional physical exercises prompted Zeng to adapt her approach to indoor spaces. This led to the creation of creative dance routines that could be performed in classrooms, incorporating a variety of dance styles and poetry recitation to enrich the content.
To everyone's delight, the adaptation was a hit among the students, making their daily routines both enjoyable and physically beneficial without feeling monotonous.
