Toy fanatics wrestled with security guards as they charged into a marquee with the latest creations on show.

Eager collectors and resellers waited by the gate before the opening time so they could be among the first to choose among the limited edition figurines and models on display at the event in Bangkok, Thailand, today.

Footage shows the excited crowd grappling with each other as they surged through the entrance before lining up in front of the toys secured inside glass boxes.

Despite the organisers' requests not to run, the attendees were unfazed and fixated on their goal of getting their hands on the collector's items on sale at the Thailand Toy Expo 2024, held at the Central World shopping mall on April 4.

Some of the limited edition art toys included renowned makers and brands such as Dimoo World, Carnival, and Headlockstudio.

One of the toy makers, Julia Wee, from Malaysia, who sold some of her pieces at the event, said: 'The crowd was crazy. I am grateful for all those who attended.'

Shopper Nok Surachai said: 'I was in a rush to get a piece before anybody else. Luckily I bought it before it sold.'
