IDF, Border Police, and Shin Bet Arrest 20 Wanted Individuals in West Bank

In a coordinated effort across Judea and Samaria, as well as the Jordan Valley Division, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Border Police, and Shin Bet conducted operations throughout the night, resulting in the arrest of 20 wanted individuals.

In a counterterrorism mission in the Jenin area of the Menashe Division, IDF soldiers engaged in pursuit of a wanted individual who attempted to evade capture. Upon refusal to surrender, forces fired shots towards the suspect, neutralizing the threat. Two wanted individuals were apprehended, and firearms, including M16 rifles and pistols, were discovered and confiscated.

Simultaneously, during the same operation, undercover Yamam (Special Police Unit) forces identified a militant who hurled an explosive device towards the troops. Responding swiftly, the forces opened fire, effectively neutralizing the assailant.

In the Zaatara region of the Etzion Division, troops detained two wanted individuals and interrogated numerous suspects, uncovering and confiscating two handguns and additional weaponry.

In the Beitunia area of the Benjamin Division, IDF forces arrested a wanted individual and conducted interrogations of several suspects. Additionally, at the Izariya compound within the division's jurisdiction, troops identified and confiscated combat equipment.

In the Qalqilya region of the Ephraim Division, soldiers located and confiscated numerous combat materials, including weapons and explosives.

All apprehended suspects and confiscated weaponry were transferred to security forces for further processing, with no casualties reported among Israeli forces.

Since the beginning of the conflict, approximately 3,700 wanted individuals have been arrested throughout Judea and Samaria, as well as the Jordan Valley Division, with approximately 1,600 affiliated with the Hamas organization.
