This is the snappy moment a critically endangered Siamese crocodile frightened a group of otters.

The mammals were taking a dip when the river beast leapt out of the water trying to snatch one of them at the Khao Ang Rue Nai Wildlife Sanctuary in Chachoengsao, Thailand, on March 18.

The Siamese crocodile, Crocodylus siamensis, is a critically endangered species of crocodile native to Southeast Asia.

It is characterized by its slender snout and bony plates on its back, and is known for its relatively small size compared to other crocodile species.
