Archive footage: Crocodile with tyre stuck around its neck reappears in Indonesia
This was the moment a crocodile was spotted with a tire stuck around its neck on the banks of the Palu river in Indonesia on 1 December 2020.
The giant reptile reappeared in the news on Monday 7 February 2022, when a brave rescuer was finally able to trap it and, with help from locals, saw the tyre off.
This footage shows the croc on the banks of the river, as a local resident stands nearby.
The crocodile is suspected to be the same one that has had a tire stuck around its neck since 2016 and has had a reward for the tyre's removal since then.
