On April 12th, in Guangzhou, southern China, a dog was spotted riding the elevator alone in a shopping mall. Witnesses observed the dog sitting calmly in the middle of the elevator step, and as it approached the ground floor, it even knew to hop off to avoid getting caught in the mechanism.

According to an eyewitness, they didn't know the dog and found it amusing to see a dog riding the elevator, so they took a video. The dog's posture during the ride was quite proper, staying away from the edges, and especially impressive was how it skillfully jumped off just before reaching the teeth of the elevator's comb plate. It really looked as intelligent as a human.
