Severe convective weather struck a city in southwestern China, causing trees to fall and buildings to collapse.

The dramatic video was captured in Jinghong City in Yunnan Province on May 1.

Several Dai-style buildings within the Xishuangbanna Dai Minority Park succumbed to the powerful winds, while stalls and tents at the Xishuangbanna Tropical Flower Garden were sent flying.

Fortunately, officials reassured the public that despite the structural damage, no casualties were reported.

As the city swiftly responds to the aftermath, all tourist attractions have resumed normal operations.
