STORYLINE:
At least 8 people were killed and 11 others injured on Monday in a collision between a minibus and a concrete mixer in the Islahiye district of Gaziantep province in southern Türkiye.
The incident took place at the Agabey region on the Islahiye-Hatay highway, as reported by the semi-official Anadolu Agency. The minibus was severely damaged and reportedly overturned into a ravine.
Health, fire, and police teams have been deployed to the scene, according to the report.
"Expert investigations are ongoing ... The truck driver and the minibus driver are slightly injured. A detention process is foreseen for the truck driver after their treatment," Gaziantep Governor Kemal Ceber told media.
