A massive Optimus Prime statue watched over cars at a roundabout in Bangkok, Thailand.

Footage shows the Transformers figure standing tall with his sword in the middle of the path with bustling traffic.

Previously, a large-scale Bumble Bee statue made of scrapped car parts stood at the spot but was later changed to the more popular character, the leader of Autobots.

The statue is located between Charoen Krung, Song Wat, and Khao Lam roads in Yaowarat Road, commonly known as Bangkok's Chinatown.

It was installed by the Samphanthawong District Office as part of an effort to create a new landmark and tourist attraction in the area.
