Monk's bamboo bridge mishap: river crossing gone awry
On April 12, 2024, in Guangdong province, China, a monk's serene river crossing turned into a moment of peril as a bamboo bridge unexpectedly collapsed beneath his feet. Shared on social media by @Mekongriverterminalline, the video captured the monk's attempt to traverse the river using rudimentary bamboo logs. With two logs serving as a precarious pathway and a third for support, the monk ventured into the middle of the bridge, only to have it give way, sending him plunging into the water below.
