A significant volcanic eruption occurred in Kyushu, Japan on May 15, sending a substantial ash cloud 2000 meters into the air. This is the 15th explosive eruption to affect the area this year, prompting concern and vigilance among residents.
The explosion, which took place at 14:42 on May 15, generated a massive plume of ash and gas that was visible for miles around. The intense heat from the eruption caused snow and ice on the surrounding slopes to melt, triggering a series of small landslides.
