In a coordinated response to a distress call, H-30 along with Vacaville Fire Protection District, Vacaville Fire, and Winters Fire sprung into action this afternoon to aid a hiker in medical distress on the Blue Ridge Trail.

Upon arrival, H-30 swiftly located the hiker, situated approximately 1.6 miles from the trailhead. With precision and expertise, a Winters Fire Captain was lowered to the scene, where he skillfully secured the hiker into a rescue harness. The hiker was then safely hoisted and airlifted to a waiting ambulance, ensuring prompt medical attention.
