Taal Volcano was shrouded in smog amid continued activity in the Philippines.

Video shows the haze blanketing the volcano island and Taal Lake in Batangas province early morning on June 14.

The volcanic smog was reported to have reached nearby Lipa City and Cuenca town, where residents detected a sulfuric odour.

Philippine seismological agency PHIVOLCS said in a June 14 bulletin that a voluminous emission of plumes up to 7,874 feet high was observed.

Taal Volcano is currently under Alert Level 1 indicating low-level unrest.

The Philippines is an archipelago of more than 7,000 islands inside the Pacific 'Ring of Fire' where the majority of Earth's volcano eruptions and earthquakes happen.
