Boy genius shows off his impressive maths skills
A boy genius with impressive math skills recited the digits of the Pi number.
Footage shows the bespectacled seven-year-old named Yonyon Lacerna being asked by his mum ‘what the equivalent of the Pi' was in Quezon province, the Philippines, on May 5.
Yonyon, while fiddling with his shirt, answered with a series of numbers that constituted the value, also known as Archimedes' Constant.
His mum held a phone with a long series of digits to confirm that the kid had memorised the value.
Father Louie Albert Lacerna said: ‘My son can recite up to more than 100 digits of the pi. We are so proud and amazed by him.'
Pi is a mathematical constant that is approximately equal to 3.14159. It is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. It is an irrational number, meaning its digits go on forever without repeating a pattern or terminating.
