Russia says its Su-35 Fighter Jet escorted Russian bombers Su-34 to launch missiles at Ukrainian military positions
These images purport to show Russian Su-35 fighter jets as they prepare for takeoff before they are seen warming up the engines and taking to the skies.
The video then shows the jet flying low over the countryside and the pilot operating in the cabin.
As the footage ends, at least one of the jets can be seen coming in to land back at base.
The images were obtained from the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Sunday, June 16, along with a statement claiming: 'Su 35s fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces completed the task of escorting bombers.
'The crew of the Su-35S multi-role vector-controlled fighter of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation completed a combat mission to escort bombers in the zone of responsibility of the West group of forces.
'A flight of Su-34 bombers, accompanied by a Su-35s fighter, took off from their home airfield and bombed the command post and personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
'The crew carried out bombing with high-explosive aircraft bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPC), which allows them to deliver precise strikes without entering the enemy's air defence zone.
'We carry out cover flights for strike groups of attack and bomber aircraft, as well as duty in the airspace control zone, searching for ground targets such as radio-emitting ones,' says Su-35 pilot Vadim.
'After completing the combat mission, the entire group successfully returned to the home airfield. According to the reconnaissance report, the target was successfully hit.
'Pilots of operational-tactical aviation carry out combat missions at any time, in any weather conditions, with various types of aircraft weapons.'
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
The conflict is still ongoing with public support from Europe and the United States fading and businesses reopening their ties with Russia.
Deserters have fled both countries for safer climbs in Europe and Asia.
