USA: 71-Year-Old Boater Rescued Near Spoil Island Amid Medical Distress

A daring rescue operation unfolded late Monday night as Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) Marine Unit responded swiftly to reports of a 71-year-old man in distress aboard a sinking boat near Spoil Island.
According to HCSO's social media updates, the Aviation Unit played a crucial role in pinpointing the boat's location from above. Subsequently, a Marine Unit deputy navigated through shallow waters to reach the stricken vessel and rescue the elderly boater.
The individual, who exhibited signs of medical distress, was promptly attended to by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue upon reaching safety at Williams Park Boat Ramp.
Miraculously, no injuries were reported during the successful rescue mission, highlighting the coordinated efforts of HCSO's emergency response teams in safeguarding lives amidst challenging circumstances.
