SOUNDBITE (English): YAN HE, Head of Chinese Section, Cambridge University Library
"So after I visited, I thought that's just a coincidence because now in Cambridge, we have started the new collaborative project with UCSD in the U.S. So that enabled us to digitize our Hopkins oracle bones in 2D and 3D formats.
So after I met actually the chairperson at Anyang Normal University, he showed me the new open access databases that they have been creating. I thought that's a great opportunity for us to collaborate. So if in the future, for instance, we can jointly build database together, that will benefit the researchers of oracle bones throughout the world."
