This is the astonishing moment burglars yanked an entire ATM from a building in India.

CCTV footage shows the masked, raincoat-wearing men tying a thick rope around the machine in Dharur, Maharashtra, on June 22.

The rope was attached to a car outside, which they used to rip the ATM from the wall.

The alleged thieves were then seen hauling the metal box containing more than 2.1 million INR (19,825 GBP) outside.

Dharur police officers said they chased after the suspects after being alerted by bank staff. They recovered the cash, but the men were able to escape during the pursuit.

Authorities said they were hunting down four individuals believed to be involved in the attempted theft.

The police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident or the whereabouts of the perpetrators to come forward and assist in bringing them to justice.
