Chinese girl composed her own lullaby to get duckling to sleep
A girl mesmerised two ducklings to sleep with her own lullaby in China.
Video filmed in Xi'an City in Shaanxi Province on June 5 shows a 5-year-old girl softly humming her self-composed hypnotic tune, with two ducklings gradually lowering their guard, closing their eyes slowly, and eventually lying down peacefully, drifting into sweet dreams.
According to Ms. Tong, the girl's mother, they had brought the ducklings home just two days prior. That evening, before bedtime, the child wanted to put the ducklings to sleep first, unexpectedly succeeding. Normally, the ducklings sleep lying down, and Ms. Tong found her daughter's actions quite miraculous.
Animal experts suggest that the girl's humming likely produced a soothing rhythm and tone that comforted the ducklings. Animals are typically sensitive to sounds and rhythms, and this gentle music may have helped relax the ducklings and induce sleep.
