Mother bear and cub hold up golf cart to steal food from bags
A hungry mother bear stopped a golf cart to rummage through the bags and steal food.
The Canadian black bear sprung from the trees and blocked the electric vehicle on the course at the Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, Canada, on July 7.
The terrified players leapt from the cart and watched as the beast ransacked their leather bags, tearing open the pockets before making off with a bag of cookies.
With her cub in tow, she then went back to look for more.
The filmer said the group had broken the rules by taking food onto the course as bears are attracted by the scent - leading to dangerous situations like those captured in the video.
She said: 'Players are forbidden from taking snacks with them during their round. There are many bears that block the path and tear at the bags, sometimes taking them away into the woods.
'These guys broke the rules and found out what happens.'
The Canadian black bear (Ursus americanus) is the most common and widespread bear species in Canada, found in all provinces and territories except Prince Edward Island.
