Yueyang, China - July 09, 2024

In a recent incident on the Yueyang section of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway at the 1361km mark (north to south), a car veered off course and crashed into the glass door of a service area restaurant at the Taolin Service Area. According to reports, the driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake while parking, leading to the collision.

Fortunately, both occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts and escaped unharmed. Police officers at the scene provided strict criticism and safety education to the driver, who was penalized for the incident and held fully responsible for the accident due to unfamiliarity with the vehicle's controls.
