07/19/2024 12:06 am (GMT-0700) | FLORENCE, LOS ANGELES – LAFD and LAPD 77th Division units responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision on Central Avenue at 82nd Street.
A female pedestrian in the roadway was struck by a dark colored SUV with a male Hispanic driver that fled the scene, said Sgt. Kevin Ahlemeir with LAPD's South Traffic Division on camera at the scene.
The female was pronounced deceased at the scene.
LAPD South Traffic is handling the investigation.
