Japan recorded on Monday (22) temperatures between 37 and 39 degrees in almost the entire country, which left at least a hundred people hospitalized for heat stroke in the capital, while the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) recommended not to go outdoors.
Meteorological authorities have appealed to the population to be alert for signs of heat stroke, as the dangerous heat wave is expected to continue in many parts of the country, after a high pressure system covered a wide area from western to eastern Japan, reported public broadcaster NHK.
The thermometer reached 39 degrees today in the city of Gifu (center) and Kumagaya (center), while in Shizuoka (east) and Kyoto (center) reached 37 degrees, according to the JMA.
