Corina: "But we haven't sent our people to celebrate in Plaza Bolivar yet. We will let them know when it is time to celebrate."
Edmundo Gonzalez: "We are going to win in peace and we are going to celebrate in peace."
STORYLINE
Opposition leader, Maria Corina Machado assured that Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia is the true president-elect of Venezuela and that the opposition obtained 70% of the votes in the elections held this Sunday.
"We won and everybody knows it," Machado said in a press conference. "We want to tell all Venezuela and the world that Venezuela has a new elected president and he is Edmundo González Urrutia (...). González Urrutia obtained 70% of the votes and Nicolás Maduro 30%. This is the truth", he asserted.
"We want to tell all Venezuelans that Venezuela has a new president and it is Edmundo González Urrutia. We won and everybody knows it", said the leader with the candidate of the opposition alliance at her side.
