STORYLINE:

On the 26th floor of a high-rise in downtown Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province, a fish farm has been developed by a local research team to produce fish more efficiently for the city's restaurants.

Run by SinoEco, a leading company in China's water ecology protection and restoration industry, the fish farm is located more than 100 meters above the ground.

It features a freshwater tank and a saltwater tank, each about 2 meters in diameter and 1 meter deep.

In the saltwater tank, the research team simulated a marine environment by transforming freshwater into "sea water," while maintaining the water temperature between 25-28 degrees Celsius.

Compared to traditional aquaculture methods, the fish farm not only saves land and water resources, but also significantly increases production.

The fish farm, closer to the restaurants that buy live fish, also ensures superior freshness and flavor while reducing logistics costs by 30 percent.
