In a dramatic incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a mother bravely chased away assailants with a stone after they attacked her son with a sword.

The incident took place in the Shahu Nagar area of Kolhapur district on August 18.

Visuals showed two men parking their scooter near the road and approaching a man who was talking to a woman, believed to be his mother. One of the attackers then struck the man from behind with a sword. Reacting swiftly, the woman picked up a stone from the road and began chasing the attackers. Startled by her response, the assailants fled the scene on their bike, with the son also grabbing a stone and running after them.

According to reports, the incident was captured on CCTV in Kolhapur's Shahu Nagar area, right in front of a Xerox shop in the bustling market during daylight. The footage suggests the attack occurred in the afternoon.
