A cycling fanatic makes wacky bikes from his home in Vietnam.

Tran Hoang Khanh Minh said he was fascinated with the bicycle's mechanism and started tinkering with old parts when he was only a little boy in Can Tho City.

He experimented with different designs and materials until he built a collection of two-wheelers with unusual designs that he could still ride around his neighbourhood.

Footage shows Tran pedalling the bicycles he made. Some of the unique bikes he owns have extra-long handlebars and elongated forks, which would make its rider sit in an awkward position.

He said: ‘My bicycles are unlike any you have ever seen. I combine sleek, aerodynamic frames with vibrant colours and futuristic shapes.

‘Each bike is a masterpiece, designed not only for performance but also to turn heads wherever it goes.'

His bicycles often feature lightweight carbon fibre frames with advanced suspension systems.

The gears are custom-built to provide a smooth and efficient ride. Sometimes, he experiments with electrical wirings to include motors on the bikes for an extra boost.

He said: ‘My passion for sports and fitness drives me to create bicycles that enhance athletic performance.

‘Whether it's a mountain bike for rugged trails or a road bike for high-speed racing, my designs are optimised for speed, agility, and endurance.'

Tran added that he handcrafted each component of his bicycles to make sure every part fit and worked perfectly.

He said: ‘I am dedicated to quality and precision. My bikes should not only look good but also be incredibly reliable.'

The young bike fanatic said he draws inspiration from nature, art and technology, blending these aspects to create a new bike,

He said: ‘My workshop is a creative haven filled with sketches, prototypes, and tools. I often participate in local shows and competitions.'

His unique designs have won awards, and he is now conducting seminars to share his knowledge on bicycle design.
