Germany: Thousands Dance Through Berlin as Rave The Planet Fills Streets
Berlin, Germany - August 17, 2024
The streets of Berlin's Tiergarten pulsated with vibrant energy on August 17, 2024, as the third edition of the "Rave The Planet" Technoparade took over the city. The event, inspired by the legendary Loveparade and led by its founder, Dr. Motte, transformed the Strasse des 17. Juni into a sea of music, dance, and colorful expressions. The parade, which follows the theme "Love is Stronger," aims to promote messages of love and peace during challenging global times. During his opening speech, Dr. Motte, whose real name is Matthias Roeingh, emphasized the importance of love over hate and violence. The event featured 30 parade floats and performances by around 300 artists. The parade route stretched between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column, with revelers dancing to the beats of electronic music under the scorching summer sun.
