A stir-fry noodle topping appeared to move when it was served at a restaurant in Thailand.

Footage shows the hot dish with flakes that twitched all over it in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand, on December 25.

Customer Aun said: ‘I treated my workers to a Japanese restaurant. They didn't know how to order and pointed only at pictures. When we received the food, they were scared because it was moving.'

The moving ingredient was dried bonito flakes, which are popular in Japanese cuisine. They are very thin and light, so the heat from hot food causes them to flutter and appear to dance.
