STARLINK G8-6 satellite train seen again in the swiss Alps on 2nd day after Florida launch. This time flying further north.

meanwhile it has grown longer and split in two.

this morning it was doing a shadow-exit ( appearing out of the blue as it was getting sunlit )

and while I shot this in Switzerland, IF I had been in Paris France the satellite train was flying right in front of the Moon. A rare sight.

also testing a new lens, Viltrox 13mm 1.4 . That lens is normally designed for aps-c crop sensor cameras but used here on a full-frame camera and simply cropped 1:1 ratio to cut away vignetting. A very affordable solution for an ultrawide ultrafast lens at low cost.

camera Sony A7SII handheld.
lens Viltrox 13mm f/1.4
ISO 51200 auto.
aperture 1.4
fps override, shot at 1/13 sec shutter speed, resulting in 13 fps.

tomorrow saturday 31st august 2024 the satellite train will fly right over northern France and be very bright over Paris and northern Germany. The trains will be even longer separated.
