SOUNDBITE 1 (English): HOANG TUONG, Researcher at the Institute of Plasma Physics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP)
"I'm a researcher and scientist in plasma fusion research. I come from France."

Nearly 20 years ago, Hoang Tuong first came to Hefei, east China's Anhui Province for a Sino-French scientific cooperation project.

Now, Hoang is a member of the fusion research team in Hefei.

He is seeking to enhance cooperation between Chinese and French scientists.

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): HOANG TUONG, Researcher at the Institute of Plasma Physics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP)
"Hefei is a big city, mostly on scientific and general development. I discovered Hefei (is a) high-tech center. We (ASIPP) focus especially on education and training because we have to form the next generation. We have many many exchanges of scientists, maybe more, 300 scientists exchanged from France to ASIPP in Hefei, (or) Hefei to France. This year, I'm thinking about taking the opportunity in the 60th anniversary (of China-France diplomatic relations), how we can organize something that attracts more people. So we try now to reinforce existing cooperation."
