The upcoming China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will provide a solid platform for not only Türkiye but also countries across the world to enhance their cooperation, said a Turkish expert.
Selcuk Colakoglu, director of the Ankara-based Turkish Center for Asia-Pacific Studies, said that China's role and policies in encouraging imports and exports of services are essential for boosting global economic development.

"This fair, China International Fair for Trade in Services is, with an annual base, renewing the ground for further cooperation across the globe, not only in China but also with other countries in different parts of the world. Every year, China needs new niche areas and new topics to cooperate, and these types of fairs will provide continuous new cooperation areas in trading services. In that regard, China's active role and participation also have a dynamic effect on trade in services across the world."
As the world's first comprehensive international exhibition platform focusing on services trade, the CIFTIS has been successfully held for 10 sessions, attracting over 900,000 attendees and exhibitors from 197 countries and regions.
This year's CIFTIS will be held in Beijing from Sept. 12 to 16. More than 420 Fortune Global 500 and leading enterprises have confirmed their offline participation in the fair.
