Fast food mascot helps elderly woman cross road
A kind fast food mascot guided an elderly woman on the roadside and carried her heavy bags.
Heartwarming footage shows the character from the Filipino fried chicken chain Jollibee assisting the pedestrian in Cavite, the Philippines on September 8.
The worker in red and yellow stripes saw the old woman who was alone walking under the afternoon sun and rushed to help her.
Onlooker Cylla Mae said she and her friend were touched by the gesture.
She said: 'The Jollibee mascot assisted the elderly woman to a waiting shed so she could rest until her bus came.'
Jollibee has restaurants throughout the Philippines. The stores are so popular that the meals have become a de facto national dish.
