Footage shows a drunk cement mixer driver crashing during a police chase in Russia.

Police had been monitoring a group of four lorry drivers engaged in a lunchtime drinking session in Tyumen on September 11.

Concerned customers alerted traffic authorities after noticing the group's heavy drinking with their trucks parked outside.

When one of the drivers took off in his cement mixer truck, police pursued him and ordered him to pull over. Police dashcam footage shows the 30-year-old driver speeding up while trying to evade the patrol car.

Moments later, the truck takes a left-hand bend too quickly and overturns into a ditch, ending the clip.

The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Tyumen Oblast reported that the driver refused to undergo a breath test and was taken into custody. It is unclear whether he has been formally charged.

It is unclear if he had been charged.

All three of his drinking companions were tested the next day and passed. However, one was arrested after checks revealed he was banned from driving due to a prior drink-driving charge.
