Shanghai is being battered by another typhoon just days after Typhoon Bebinca, the city's strongest in 75 years, hit the area.

Footage shows a home being inundated with floodwater pouring in through the doors and the toilet.

According to meteorological data, since 1949, a total of four typhoons have made landfall in Shanghai in the month of September. Typhoon Bebinca, the 13th typhoon of this year, became the strongest to hit Shanghai since 1949 when it landed on September 16.

Just four days later, Typhoon Prasan followed suit. The National Meteorological Center stated that having two typhoons hit within four days is unprecedented in Shanghai’s history.

In just one week, Shanghai has been hit by two consecutive typhoons. On the night of September 19 at around 9:45 PM, the center of Typhoon "Prasan" (the 14th typhoon of the year, classified as a tropical storm) made landfall for the second time along the coastal area of Fengxian District in Shanghai, with maximum wind speeds near the center reaching level 9 (23 meters/second).

Due to the impact of Typhoon "Prasan," Shanghai experienced heavy rain on September 20, leading to flooding in some residents' homes. Water flooded in through door cracks, and in some cases, water even started gushing out of toilets.
