This is the incredible moment a man risks his life for the woman he is with by refusing to let go of her hand – dragging her to safety and preventing her from being run over by an out-of-control Lexus.
The incident happened when a black BMW crashed into the Lexus at a crossing, sending the latter vehicle heading out of control to the zebra crossing and hitting a traffic island where the couple were standing with other people.

But just as the woman, who was knocked over, is about to be crushed under the wheels of the car, the man who is with her looks back and dashes away, pulling her behind him and out of harm's way.

Incredibly, a woman carrying a baby in her arms emerges from the Lexus and surveys the wreckage of the vehicle she had been travelling in.

The incident took place in Almaty, in Kazakhstan, on 18th September.
