Around 12:30 pm on September 28, a waterspout was spotted over Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong. The seawater formed a column and spun in midair for about two minutes. Many onlookers witnessed the spectacular "water-sucking dragon" phenomenon and captured the stunning moment on camera.

According to reports received by the Hong Kong Observatory since 1959, this is the first time a waterspout has been reported in Victoria Harbour. The Observatory explained that a tornado is a rapidly rotating column of air extending from cumulus clouds to the ground, and when it occurs over water, it is called a waterspout.

This marks the first appearance of a large waterspout in Victoria Harbour in 65 years.
