STORYLINE:
The 9th World Junior Wushu Championships officially concluded on Sunday in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei.
Athletes from the Chinese national team topped the gold medal tally with a remarkable total of 13 gold medals, along with 4 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
The Indonesian team claimed second place with 10 gold medals, along with 10 silver medals and 9 bronze medals, the highest total medal count at this event. The Malaysian team finished third, winning 9 gold medals, 11 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals. The host Brunei also achieved commendable results, earning 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals.
This year's Championships, organized by the International Wushu Federation and hosted by the Brunei Wushu Federation, attracted 50 teams from around the world.
The 10th World Junior Wushu Championships will be held in the city of Tianjin, China.

"With the promotion events, Wushu sports are becoming more popular in the Southeast Asian countries. There are numerous promotional projects, including Sanda events. The Wushu sports are attracting more teenagers and children. This is the first time in Brunei's history that the country has hosted a world-class Wushu championship, and the Brunei government has placed great importance on it. The Championship is expected to play a significant role in promoting the development of Wushu sports."
