The 9th World Junior Wushu Championships kicked off in Brunei on Wednesday.
According to the International Wushu Federation (IWUF), 50 teams worldwide attended the Championships in Brunei, and participants will engage in Wushu competition and cultural exchange over the next five days, showcasing the charm of Wushu arts and culture. Over 80 gold medals are up for grab during the Championships.
The World Junior Wushu Championships, a premier event organized by the IWUF for young Wushu athletes, has been held biennially since 2006. The 9th edition is undertaken by the Wushu Federation of Brunei Darussalam, with support from the Brunei government.
