Firefighter descends into cave to save trapped dog in Florida
A firefighter descended into a cave to rescue a trapped dog in Florida.
The rescuer from Marion County was lowered into a 14ft cave to save the canine named Bella, who became stuck after falling into a hole on Monday, September 30.
Marion County Fire Department officials reported that crews from Marion Oaks Station 24 were dispatched to an Ocala address after a 911 caller stated his pooch had fallen into a pit.
The fireman secured Bella with a harness, and crew members on the ground assisted in lifting her to safety.
No injuries were reported, and Bella was safely returned to her owner.
