Russia: Trucks from both sides of road overtake and collide head on before being rear ended by a third lorry
Nizhneudinsk, Russia - October 1, 2024
[WARNING: Video contains profanity]
This is the moment when trucks from both sides of the road overtake but end up crashing head-on, with a following truck hitting them, too, causing a massive pileup.
The incident occurred on the road in Nizhneudinsk, in the Russian Irkutsk Oblast, on 1st October.
The dashcam video shows a driver moving down the road and a large truck overtaking him from the left side.
The truck on the left overtakes successfully and again switches to the right side, letting two other trucks pass.
However, at that moment, another truck also enters its lane, overtaking the lorry in front and causing a frontal collision with devastating consequences.
This second truck failed to see that the lane was blocked when it started its overtaking manoeuvre.
After the two trucks collided, the third truck filming the incident also piled into the wreckage, causing further devastation.
At the end of the video, the dashcam in the cab of the third lorry smashed into the rear of the truck in front, showing boxes and the sounds of somebody swearing in Russian.
Incredibly, despite the devastation, it is reported that the incident occurred without casualties.
