Russia: Giant truck tries to avoid hitting cars but completely demolishes road lamp and hits pedestrian
Rostov Oblast, Russia - September 29, 2024
[Note: no sound]
This is the moment when a giant truck at full speed tries to avoid running into the back of a mobile home and demolishes a streetlight before hitting a pedestrian.
The incident occurred at the M-4 Don highway in Kamensky District, Rostov Oblast, Russia, on 29th September.
Police footage shows that the truck driver is too close to the mobile home in front of it on the road as a pedestrian steps onto the zebra crossing.
The huge truck starts moving to the right, still at full speed, and knocks down a lamppost with a road sign.
At this moment, the pedestrian can be seen crossing the road exactly at the place where the impact occurred and was also hit.
The images were obtained from the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Rostov Region, along with a statement saying: "On September 29, 2024, at 9:57 a.m. on the 941st km of the M-4 Don highway, Kamensky district, a driver born in 1960, driving a Volvo, according to preliminary data, failed to keep a safe distance.
