Police arrests naked artist who vandalised WWII tank with red paint
Police arrested a naked artist who was allegedly caught vandalising a WWII tank with red paint.
Footage shows a woman without clothing climbing down from the T-34's turret when she was spotted spraying paint on it in Russia's Barnaul, Siberia on September 28.
She only wore white sneakers to protect herself from freezing temperatures at the war memorial park.
The 24-year-old woman was taken into custody with her identity being withheld by police.
A regional police Investigative Committee statement said: 'A criminal case has been opened against a 24-year-old resident.
'She is accused of damaging monuments located on the territory of the Russian Federation that forever commemorate the memory of those who died in the defence of the Fatherland or its interests during the Great Patriotic War.'
The tank was installed in 1995 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany.
During World War II, Barnaul played a key role in Russia's arms industry and produced more than half of the ammunition used by Soviet forces during the conflict.
