This is the shocking moment a lorry carrying logs overturns as its driver attempts to take a sharp bend at high speed and crashes into another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

The incident reportedly occurred at the 20th kilometre of the Podlitovye-Parfino-Staraya Russa highway, in the Krestetsky district, Russia, at 2:15 pm on 3rd October.

A 38-year-old man, driving an LS-1 timber lorry with a trailer, failed to maintain a safe lateral distance and collided with an oncoming Volvo FN12 lorry with a semi-trailer, driven by a 36-year-old man. The timber lorry veered into a right-hand ditch and dropped its load of logs.

Following this, a 50-year-old man driving an International 9800 lorry with a semi-trailer, also moving in the opposite direction, hit the logs, veered into a right-hand ditch, and overturned. Another lorry with a semi-trailer, also travelling in the opposite direction, hit the logs as well.

As a result of the accident, two drivers, from the Volvo and the International, were injured and transported by an ambulance crew to the Novgorod Regional Clinical Hospital.
