Workers ran for their lives as a huge landslide crashed down a mountain in northern India.

The construction team was repairing the Helang-Marwari bypass road, which was buried under a rockslide last year, when another disaster hit the area in Uttarakhand on October 12.

Footage shows the men fleeing from the debris of soil, rocks, and trees slipping off a cliff.

The landslide crashed in a cloud of dust while the workers dodged it to safely reach a safer spot on the mountain road.

No one was hurt although the debris had engulfed their truck.

The bypass road construction was stopped in January last year due to a landslide and resumed five months before the most recent natural disaster struck last week.
