Mole in one! Rodent caught digging a tunnel on golf course in China
This is the amusing moment a mole was caught digging a tunnel on a golf course in China.
Golfers discovered the rodent clawing through the green turf on the fairway in Chaoyang, Beijing, on October 2.
Footage shows a player using a five-iron club to gently pat down the area over the burrow. A long, visible, straight line of dirt from the freshly dug tunnel can be seen on the ground.
The surprised filmer said: 'We weren't the ones who disturbed the mole first. We just ran over from a distance to see it, and a caddy briefly blocked it so it wouldn't escape before everyone had a chance to see it.'
Moles are solitary creatures that spend their lives underground. They are always digging to hunt, which causes them to destroy lawns, gardens - or in this case, golf courses.
