SOUNDBITE 1 (English): SABEEN USMAN KHATTAK, Executive Director of Associated Press of Pakistan Corporation
"I have seen it is quite modern, I mean, equipped with the latest technology. And the people are very hospitable and they're friendly.
It was quite astonishing to see their marvelous success. I mean the way they were installing solar power, wind power, and the way they were producing energy.
It was quite a wonderful experience. It was an out-of-this-world experience for me. It was very surprising. I'm impressed."
SOUNDBITE 2 (English): MARK LEVINE, U.S. scholar & professor at Minzu University of China
"I saw developments in agriculture, farming, so on where previously arid land was now being irrigated and new techniques and experts in farming were sent from different parts of the country to provide training to the farmers in Xinjiang on how to improve their crop production and so on. It was just an extraordinary experience."
SOUNDBITE 3 (English): IOANNA-MARIA PIERRI, Assistant Managing Editor, To Vima English Edition, Greece
