SOUNDBITE 1 (German): UWE KURT FRITSCH, Former member of Volkswagen Global Board
"For me, the important thing about international cooperation is that technology transfer is possible on both sides. I saw it myself in September this year on a delegation in China, that China is so far ahead in some areas, for example in digitalization. And we in Germany are more of a leader in production technology and mass production, so we can combine the two very well."
SOUNDBITE 2 (English): FERDINAND DUDENHOEFFER, Director of Center for Automotive Research (CAR) in Bochum
"I'm looking for the future that Germany and China will be closer together. So what the EU Commission is doing is absolutely the wrong approach. And it doesn't help anybody. It doesn't help the environment, because electric vehicles will be more expensive for customers."
Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Munich, Germany.
